While searching for the best piano course to learn to play piano online, you will find that there are plenty of piano courses readily available to choose from. Most of them seem to be easy to download, and some are even free. Each course is different, in terms that a few will come equipped with video demonstrations, and sound bytes, while others are mainly audio demonstrations and e-books. STARTING OUT
You may be overwhelmed with the variety of choices that you have when it comes to choosing an online piano course. Before making any decisions remember to do your research. It is best to search for different forums and reviews from neutral blog posts for an online piano course that you may be considering. Of course everyone has an opinion and there is bound to be negative reviews on any course you may look into, obviously the more positive reviews, the better. Weigh the pros and cons of the program and make your own decision on which course may be best for you. If there are more positive reviews than negative chances are you have a pretty good course on your hands that you can then further investigate. REVIEW When searching for the best online piano course, review the course details and levels of learning. Beginners should not buy lessons intended for intermediate or advanced players, but of course this all depends on the course. There are a few high quality courses online with excellent instruction that may be geared for an intermediate player, but that a beginner could easily follow. There are also courses that represent all stages and can take an aspiring pianist from beginner to intermediate all the way up to advance in a single product. Keep in mind that because of the quality of those courses, they tend to be a bit more in price than a basic beginner course, but they are well worth the cost. COST With that being said, the most expensive course is not necessarily the best online piano course either. This is were your research and judgment come into play. Investigate the course and find out what others are saying about it. I previously found a piano course selling for a one time fee of $380. Although the course did seem pretty intuitive I compared it to another course that had higher quality videos, more inclusive and detailed teaching, and also came with continued support for a mere $160.
In this case, the cheaper course was a better overall program than the more expensive one. However keep in mind that any online piano course, is still a great deal when compared to private piano tutorials or piano lessons in a music school, so the real goal is finding a course that fits within your budget and learning capacity. FREE COURSES Sometimes you will find online piano courses that provide free lessons as samples to their packages. It is recommended that you try these free courses and see if you can follow the guides and instructions. If you find that the guides are confusing or not enriching, then you can move on to a different program/website. THE CONCLUSION The conclusion, is that a good and well instructed online piano course will be fool proof and leave you with little to no room for confusion. A course should provide video demonstrations and sound bytes as examples of techniques for playing the piano. There should be worksheets, theory papers and music scores for you to try, and some will even provide short biographies of famous pianists to inspire you in your pursuit to learn to play the piano. Keep all these incentives in mind while searching for the best online piano course. |
